I red in previous versions the Angle Boost function had been removed because it caused trouble.
Who knows the status because I still see the Angle Boost values in the APM Logs.
If it is still there, can I adjust or disable it?
I have the feeling the Angle Boost caused some problems on my Quad frame. Sometimes the quad banks about 90 degrees to the left or right and quickly recovers (during hovering or slow flying).
I noticed in the logs my throttle went down due to Angle Boost and probably causes the Quad to bank. When I graph the AngBst values I see this values going up simultaneausly.
On line 9692 in the attached log you can see this happening.

I investigated my logs further and also at the start of the flight, my Quad tripped over.
I have the problem part of the logs attached.
Who can explain what is wrong here.
What I did. I took off and climbed to about 2 meter and moved a little to the left. Then the Quad banked and felt to earth.
You can see in the logs the Angle Boost reduces the Throttle so much the Quad banks.
The strange thing is it looks like a clipping thin. The slope is nice and even and suddenly a drop an very soon it continous the expected slope.
Please who knows what is going on?
Actually it looks like the angle boost is saving your copter!
From the logs it looks like you are having a mechanical problem with your rear left motor. In the attached picture the copter flips to 135 degrees (45 degrees from perfectly inverted). As soon as the copter goes past 90 degrees the angle boost cuts the throttle and seems to allow the copter to get control again. This then happens again but this time only to about 80 degrees and again the angle boost dropping the throttle seems to be what triggers the recovery.
In each case the roll error happens before the angle boost and the cut of the throttle seems to initiate the recovery.
