Is this a good idea for a platform

I have started working on a blimp-based uav using two motor-propeller units from an old XUFO toy i had lying aroung;i have mounted these onto servo axises so i can rotate them, i am using smartphone linked via IR to a PICmicro as controller,my prototype works when mounted on a rig that simulates the baloon, this worked well, but before i buy more parts i need to know if this is a good meathod of building a uav, also i'd like to replace the phone with a camera + radio, what wouls be best for this : mini tv cam + AV transmitter and some modem or a special radio module?, also what kind of power source is light but can deliver large amounts of p.ower at once and has a medium to large capacity?

  • I wouldn't mount motors+props directly to the servos.
