Robert, its not just about the motor.

Although granted big motor lots of power will lift most things.

If your on a budget a glider type airframe will lift more with less power.

Go and stand in a newsagents and pick up as many RC mags as you can and try and absorb the info!!!

Or look on the web I guess.

Go find some RC pilots nearby.

A few hours watching them and chatting might save you lots of money on Ebay.

Who knows someone in your local club might be selling all the gear for cheap!
