HI guys,

is there anything affordable available that gives me and OSD that used all the sensors the Arducopter offers?

This way it could be cheap and small.

Like the epi osd for mikrokopter:

I use Remzibi OSD it has it own sensors for volts /amps and it can recieve data from AutoPilot to display as needed.

I setup my OSD to help troubleshoot what happens in each flight mode,

I added Batt Volts, H_dop, P_dop and V_dop in Auto mode on line 1.

and to display stabilized camera Pan, Tilt and Roll angles on line 2.

Sandro, me and few others are working on creating APM/ACM and MAVLink compatible OSD. Rough ETA is close future. You can find more information by looking ArduCAM OSD.

That sounds really promising.

Thanks for the update

i think the priority of the team should be to get a rock software and get out beta version :)

you are work is incredible

Your OSD will have a strong enemy:

HK OSD

looks like HK pulled that product of from their catalogs already. I have one of those OSDs that are made by same company and not really impressed about it.

Thing is that with our OSD you don't need to add any extra hardware except OSD itself as everything else is there already. So no huge mess with wires or usage of those precious mAh's.

This HK system is nice when you don't have anything else on board. It's good for standalone setups. ArduCopter, ArduPilot Plane etc are not standalone system.

Jani,

How long would it be for your OSD to be available?

sounds very good to me.

Don't know yet. This year at least :)

Hey Jani,

I guess you're right. Why adding a second gps if there is already one on the copter.

Also, I would love to get a reading on how many gps sats my copter got and what the horizion looks like.

I used the artificial horizon a lot with EPI-OSD and my EX-Mikrokopter and it was so great to see when the copter is moving.

I hope you guys can pull that off.

willthis be complete unit or we must shop around for camera?, TX and RX?, the main problem i always had with OSD were camera quality, I always wished a good quality camera like Go Pro was used. I know the price will go high but atleast we get something we enjoy.

Does anyone know if the Minum OSD work with the APM2?

Or Jani is your boad out yet and will it work with the APM2 from Arduino?
