Pixhawk Max PWM on RCOUT for X8

Hey guys I've got a bit of a puzzle.

My Pixhawk powered X8 running arducopter 3.2 calibrates it's ESC's to the PWM Range of the radio throttle channel input. I verified with an oscilloscope this morning that when in ESC cal mode it spits out 1.100 - 1.900 ms that is the range of the transmitter.

When in heavily loaded flight the log file reports that RCOUT 1-8 saturate at 1.850 ms in a heavily loaded flight. I have max throttle set to 1000 and thrust curve off. Does anyone have any idea how i can get those last 50 microseconds out of it or should I adjust my transmitter and calibrate the ESCs to the lower range? I understand that it reserves some throttle for stabilization but from the log it is clear that it is saturating at 1850 rather than the 1900 it should be using from the radio calibration step.

I've looked through source code and parameter files and I can't find where this limit of 1850 microseconds is created.

Does anyone know where I might increase the max for RCOUT?

Thanks,

--Caleb

  • I actually figured it out. Another pass through the settings and it turned out that I had failed to disable thrust curve (MOT_TCRV_ENABLE). I could have sworn that I had done that already! Oh well.
