Can someone tell me what regulators we have on the APM1 and how good they should be ?
looking at the 5V rail either off the telemetry port or the SPI port i have a variance of -+ 50mV
so it varies between 4.61 to 4.69 Volts
Testing with a Agilent U1232A so it's not some cheap $10 DMM.
anyone else able to test to tell me if I have a fault.

Not so easy to answer your question without having the wirings you've made. The first two things you have to check are:
1. Drawing excessive currents from points which can't deliver such;
2. Overlapping current contours. This is the most common mistake in wiring.

Permalink Reply by Gabriel on June 16, 2012 at 3:45pm well It's pretty much stock because i still get floating voltage when plug just into the usb port. with the only extra thing that is powered being the 915mhz 3DRadio.
There is like 8 servos connected to the PWM output ports through..
hmm looks like it might be the 3DRadio... pulling too much current the thing stabilizes when not plugged in
