Retracts on octo not functioning correctly

Good evening all.

I have a scratch build octo that flies great.  I have decided to put retracts on it so that they wont be in the way of the gimbal.  I have assigned them to the flaps since the landing gear channel is tied up with the arducopter flight modes.  I am trying to run 4 and they act nuts.  sometimes one will go up, then another, then the other two.  sometimes one will go up 45 degrees then the others will go up, then the first one goes up the rest of the way.  sometimes one will not go up at all, or come down at all. I am using a pixhawk with a spektrum sat receiver. I do have power to the actual AR6200 so that I have access to channel 6 for the flaps. I am using a Spektrum DX6I as my TX.  Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?  Is it a power issue since they are all plugged in together?  Is the signal from the flaps not strong enough to be split like that?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

  • I had a similar issue with my retracts. I ended up powering the servos from a separate BEC to make it work correctly.
