Return from failsafe to stabilize

Hello :)I am an new arducopter user, here in south america. I ha built an hexa with 980kv motors, an atg fame and apm 2.5. Have made about 2 hrs flight with the apm and then my first crash. I have crashed my quad many times before with fy91q, and its really a different storu. Arducopter is just awesome. After reviewing my logs i realized that fur a second during the flight the receiver lost thr signal, and this should have engaged rtl mode. This laons why i has such a bad time returnong the copter to home. But then... Could not turn off the motors, and thats when i crashed it. Low alt, and i have hit a garden seat...Well, i think this was my mistake, but it makes me wonder... If it was in rtl and i have aleeady regained control over ir for a long time, what should i have done to put it backin the original stabilize mode? Do i have to switch it to another mode and then back to stabilize? Or....what? :)ThanksCarlos

RTL normally flys back at 15m to your home position hovers for a few seconds to reduces altitude. Are you sure you were in RTL?
