Take Off Issues

Hi all, I have finished my first attempt at building a quad and I am having major issues getting it to take off properly. It dosent seem to be able to take off vertically. I have tried both manual and automatic calibration of the ESC's and the motors seem to be running ok. I have also run the calibration of the sensors and am now at a loss as what to do.

Using: an Amp 2.5 board, 20Amp ESC's , 1000kV brushless motors, 10x4.5 or 12x4.5 props

Anyone any ideas? I have included a video of the problem below:

  • You have something crossed up with either the APM inputs from the receiver, the ESC drive from the APM, your configuration (quad, hex, tri, etc), or one or more motors is turning the wrong way, or a combination of any of the above.

Check that the APM output wiring is working correctly HERE.

Post a *.tlog if you can. Instructions for pulling the log are found HERE.

This is a common 1st build issue. We have seen (and done) many of the above mistakes. You will get through this.
