So the goal here is, with cost aside (for the most part at least, I'm not buying a million batteries), make an UAV drone that has a flight time of over an hour(it must also fly itself) .
I want to use a hexacopter or octicopter model for it as well and it must have a nice FPV module on it.
The project is for my self and for recording my friends while we do sports. With that said, I am leaning towards a hexacopter build as it needs to be a bit smaller and agile to go through trees.
So, what would you all professionals want to use parts-wise?
(if it can be done with arduino I would be forever greatful)
Parts needed (to my newb knowledge):
-Frame
- Flight control system (arduino preferred)(i am not horrible at programming)
- Motors
- ESC's
- props
- Batteries (most important part if you ask me)
- FPV Module (with pan and tilt) (end game it will track a traget via GPS or some targetting software)
- reciever/transmitters for both controls and FPV. (the FPV transmitter/reciever is for 1: to toggle recording wirelessly, and for 2: to watch the FPV via wrist watch or some small touch screen.)
- small wireless FPV station (like 4-5in screen to select flight mode and communicate to device to adjusting camera angle.)
thanks for your help and any advice in advance.
