Total NEWB! Need help picking quadcopter drone.

I was going to buy this one.

Kinda pricey for me but it has some really neat functions. Specifically the abiliyty to set it on a straight course and the goggle vision. Can you suggest something that might be better for me. Budget 1k-3kish

I should also mention i completely suck at flying stuff. I bought a $300 one before and crashed it hard enough to break it in half on its first flight.

Help?

    Any help??

    The Phantom Vision and 3dr x8 have also been recommended. I just need someone to give me a direction to head in.
