Hi guys, I am a mechanical engineering student who is working on building an UAV as part of our final year project. We had selected an airframe based on the Easystar as our airframe and now are in a dilemma as to which autopilot system we should be using....the ardupilot board or the UAV Dev Board. We need to complete the project by june and we've got lots of constraints in the selection of the autopilot boards. Basically we do not have any kind of experience dealing with electronics. So therre is the programming difficulty of the UAV Dev Board. But at the place where we stay we usually have sudden weather changes and heavy winds. So that brings up the stability issue with the thermopile sensors of the ardupilot. Can anybody help us out.??
