I have just carried out an update check from APM Planner and appear to have downloaded an update from the activity in the mission planner window.
How do I know when a new version or update has been downloaded and when I get one, do I do a full firmware update.
When I do update the firmware, will I loose the changes which I have made previously.

I always check 4 Mission Planner updates. You can look at the Wiki download page to see the current AC2 beta file update DATE. You can also open the Terminal window enter CLI mode and see the firmware version. Right now I think its 6. I do believe we will loose our settings. Updating is the same as re-loading the code " Fresh Start". I like it this way beacuse it helps me learn the steps to setting it up and getting it ready to fly. That way I know it inside and out.
