"Use speed for this mission" in the new Mission Planner update.

Just noticed after updating MP that when making a flight plan with the survey tool there is an option under the speed box that says "Use speed for this mission". 

I know the speed of the craft can be adjusted but will this option 'hurry' all other parts of the mission?

    It simply means that the speed entered in the field should be inserted into the flight plan as a do_set_speed command. If this is not check, the speed in the field is only used to calculate the flight time inside the survey tool.
