A lite efficient airframe and tricopter motor arraignment. Two front motors tilt 90 deg for forward or 0 for hover flight. Tail motor is shut down for forward fixed wing mode. Need to control attitude during transition from hover to forward flight. I have thought a lot about this, done some sketches and calculations. Plane/Copter or Copter/Plane depending on if you are taking of or landing.
Maybe you could get a few ideas from this UAV(Panther by IAI).

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of VTOL models on the market, single, twin, and multiple rotor types.
There are very few fixed wing VTOLs, (full sized) and a few types similar to the Osprey.There are no fixed wing VTOL planes on the model market. That tells you that in spite of a lot of market potential, no one has cracked it yet, Its a case of power-weight ratio. What purpose did you have in mind?
