What about the idea to offer the Xbee Telemetry Kit with XBee-PRO® 868 OEM RF Modules for European Customers? We can use the 868 MHz short-range device G3 band in Europe. This will give us better range compared to the 2.4 MHz modules.

This has been covered quite a bit here, but here is the recap:
Data transmission rate and duty cycle are both too low to be used effectively with APM Mavlink stream.
Max RF data rate is 24kbps per spec sheet. Duty cycle is 10% (6 minutes transmission per hour) as required by local regulations in EU. The one issue means you cannot get enough data through, the second means that it streams poorly.
