one important think I learned in life is not to attack persons and personality, but behaviors. I did not think to have made an attack to anyone. I only like very much concrete results, and sometimes report them.
I don't like wasting my time the way I'm making in this moment writing that. In fact I'm going to stop now with this post and go back reading technical post, where I can learn something: yes I have a lot to learn.

I just made another couple of success flights with both AP and UDB (medium distance, WP mission) today.
An ap is not a craft product, but an electronic device that works on a firmware. The work is made by sw and first of all by a well tuned sw. I do not think being offroad saying that all the work depends on sw tuning (beside well made soldering job). If a device is well designed it is well designed from #1 to #2000.
So if one or two, or ten people can make success flight, all the rest could too.
Beside this I can only say that everytime I hadn't a good flight it was for sw bugs, but first of all for bad tuned sw (my fault).
I understand how frustration can make someone complain. I'm guilty of that. But calling people names on threads, will rightly get you banned. Change your attitude and you'll find people here are very helpful and eager to share their knowledge.
BWD: I stand corrected. You have indeed purchased the gear, and even taken some of it out of the bag. But until you solder the bits together, you don't have an ArduPilot. Once you have done so, my offer to help with ANY problems stands.
Whats happening this weekend, is Christmas shopping getting to everybody. Lets all take a step back and calm down!! I for one don't want to this place to end up like RCG. Chris, I'm close to pulling this thread as well!!
Yes cheaper plug and play units will arrive, but they won't be approved by ever encroaching regulators, if you want to do what a lot of people here really want to do, which is to make money with a UAS you will need a complete system, both airframe and autopilot that has jumped through hoops. Those hoops keep changing size shape and slope.

Remember most real aircraft don't fly until the paperwork surrounding them is at least equal or double their own weight.
Good analogy would be computers (386 and 486 etc) none of the bells and whistles really worked, and it was a big race to upgrade to the newest version/hardware. Bill Gates and the Silicon Valley co’s made a bundle and moved operations offshore. (I love to make windows jokes with the vendors) Does it sound like I’ve been hanging out with Jack Crossfire?
