My 13yo son got one too and we tried building it this weekend. Alas the kit had substituted some incorrect lego parts (missing center shaft joiner, 3 of other joiners) and it wont be complete. Also while our local hobby shop had the LiPo battery, they didnt have the charger.
We did find a typo in the online instructions: step 5 says to "Cut a 6-pin male regular header." It should be a 7-pin header. Picture is correct.
