It is much more capable, able to handle more channels and is compatible with most joystick/radio combinations.
The HK system does not have enough channels and I do not believe that is a true top-hat which is great for pan/tilt camera control.

I have the Microsoft Sidewinder (Force Feedback) joystick which has 9 switches plus the X Y joystick. It is a USB device and would be great if it interfaced with the FPV box. Anyone know if this has been sucessfully used?

3 proportional channels isnt enough. 4 should be a minimum and 5 or 6 would be ideal.
A step in the right direction. Me like a lot! I wonder if we can use other USB joysticks with that controler thingy that comes along.
