We started having problems keeping all the wires we were using for our ground station organized and safe, so we designed and built a power management module using car accessory electronics and other home and model parts. It took over three weeks to go through the process, but we're hoping it will reduce the chances of damage and speed up the set up time when we fly each morning.

Comment by Greg Fletcher on August 19, 2012 at 9:07pm As part of your planing you should have procedures in place for when the police stop you to find out what you're hiding in the back of your car. Step one : put plane in loiter mode,
Step 2 : Explain that if you get out of the vehicle the other vehicle will need some attention before battery depletion (they can be slow),
Step 3 ???
From their cloaked ship the aliens look down on the Arkansas town...
"Kyzglab, we have lost mind-link with the two male earth creatures we have been observing! What is wrong?"
"Orglab, they have installed mind-link shielding on their artificial environment boundaries of the primitive heat-engine vehicle."
"We are undone Kyzglab! Let us hope they do not employ similar shielding on their brain cases."
"That is unlikely Orglab. I believe the overlords they serve for monetary exchange units do not allow such shielding. This is probably a temporary setback."
"Let us hope so. I find it amusing how they are able to incrementally increase the quality of their primitive exploration vehicles. These two are exceptional in their determination to succeed. It is unfortunate the rest of their species is not as motivated and innovative."
And so the aliens continue their observations.
Nick and Trent work on, always looking up, always improving.
Good job fellows!

Comment by Marooned on August 20, 2012 at 11:56pm You guys are doing nice job with all those experiments but sorry to say that, watching your movies is like:
- "hey dude, I soldered one wire to another!"
- "woohoo! that's überpr0 awesome man!"
- "yeah, we rock! take a look at that solder, it's freaking cool!"
Fun to watch but talking about few wires and switches for 14 minutes?! :))
Best of all!
