It's customary and traditional that we celebrate the addition of every 1,000 new members here and share the traffic stats. This time it's a big 70,000!!!!
There were approximately 1.4 million page views in the last month! (we now get around 47,000 page views a day on average). It took us just 31 days to add these latest 1,000 members--we're averaging one new member every 44 minutes!
Thanks as always to all the community members who make this growth possible, and especially to the administrators and moderators who approve new members, blog posts and otherwise respond to questions and keep the website running smoothly.

Most impressive IMO is the worldwide reach. Most sessions coming from the US, but would be cool to see how many countries visit the site. Great job helping all us out, and I'd only expect the site to continue to grow as the industry continues to grow.
Hi Tom, thanks for the update. Summer is creeping in South-Africa. Maybe time for the Sonar boat...
A good measure might be (number_of_DIYDronies's_of_a_country / Country_population) * 100 to get a percentage of people from a country participating. Then you can truly compare apples with apples......they will all be very, very small, though.
Cheers,
I'm not only admired number, quality people is impressive too. :) but not measurable.
That's impressive numbers winter or summer :O , (here is winter ;) less oportunities to fly more time for forums), I'm still curious how female audience is increasing? :)
Hi David,
Thanks for the kudos and the insight concerning the present time of year we are in at the moment.
Also, there is more competition for members in the sUAS audience from other sUAS websites and unfortunately that is just a fact of life in the web environment.
However, the quality of our member projects, timely hardware and software support, and sUAS community reporting help to put us at the forefront in the sUAS environment.

James,
It is summer time and I think a lot of people are busy with other things in their life. Great news though. The U.S. seems to be a big part of this which is why I am bring up the time of year. Great job to DIY Drones!

Surprising to see the page views seemingly on a general slight downward trend. I would have expected to see it on the rise with all the publicity that drones are getting in the news lately enticing more people into the hobby (or at least making them curious about it). I'm also surprised to see mobile viewing at such a low %. I own a small forum and we recently switched to a full responsive theme the address the mobile access challenges since it seems like that has become the majority (at least for me).
Regardless, neat stats! Amazing how popular drones have become in general. Thanks for sharing!
Well, that is another 10,000 additional members under our belt!!!
80,000 members here we come!
