This is what I have been waiting for!
Unfortunately the price might be an issue.
Here is their products page. I am glad to see that this is being considered for multirotor applications. It looks to be a rock solid system and will open up live HD transmission for news and sporting events.

It is technology like this that will make multirotors attractive to the TV industry.

Comment by Flying Monkey on March 9, 2013 at 9:17pm You'd think they'd put a bit more effort into this video? Or at least know enough to NOT use youtube's stabilization...?
Comment by Josh Potter on March 10, 2013 at 5:47am HD video transmissions systems have always been around, they've just been very expensive.

Comment by Luke Olson on March 10, 2013 at 8:52pm Wireless HD video systems have been around for a few years. There are other systems out there for less money if the price is $5,000. For example the Paralinx Arrow which is around $1,200. Another one is the Teradek Bolt which is a little more expensive, around $3,000. Both of those have fairly short ranges like 100 yards. There are specialized systems with longer range like the MicroraptorHD from Airborne Innovations. If you're thinking about getting one make sure the frequencies are not the same as your control gear.
Comment by Sam Short on March 11, 2013 at 8:31am The guys at Coptercam are already using HD links to broadcast live sports on TV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBLqljSToCA&feature=youtu.be
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.677 members
