Comment by MarcS on December 27, 2012 at 8:58am Main sensor seems to be the well known laser scanner... plus camera and LED-lights.
Actually 60$ seems quite cheap to me, regarding the cost of this setup and developement. Is there a (english) reference to that? For that price many researchers would knock on their door :-)
Comment by Jiro Hattori on December 27, 2012 at 3:11pm The cost of the UAV looks cheep. However, you asked for general contact, remote human surveillance and other sensors. So, you could not get only UAV 60$/month.
Here is laser sensor that will dispatch contract area to detect intruder.
The UAV itself might has vision sensor, obstruct avoidance, LED flash lamp, speaker and micro phone, other than the sensors that needs to be UAV. One more thing, the UAV is sit on the home position with battery charger. Following is detail of the tower.
