Remzibi OSD + APM Integration v2.22

Because I was searching a long time for an up to date APM +Remzibi´s OSD without success,

I made it by myself.

If you also like the new Version and dont know how to integrate remzibi´s feel free to use mine!

Download APM 2.22 + Remzibi

 

All Features of APM 2.22 are untouched!

The Procedure of uploading is the same as already known :)

    Also, interesting glitch, sometimes I got some double endings of values. It looks like some long value is displayed for moment, and then smaller one don't clear all value field.

    It will be nice, if you post remzibi bin file, you use for your code, I got mode text over vidv, and some other glitchies, also on/off switch works strange, sometimes it turns on, sometimes not. After aggresive switching I managed to get on again. (Off works everytime)

    So if USB isn't plugged into the FTDI chip, the TX output pin goes high impedance and you can have the XBEE drive the TX pin ok? Therefore you can hook a serial device to port 1/JP7 on the oilpan as long as you unhook when usb is plugged in? I jumped to the conclusion that port 1 was hands off due to the FTDI chip. That's handy to know.

    Hi Mike, could you please post some pics or information on how to connect the OSD to APM?

    I suppose it is via some APM serial interface and should not require the OSD GPS (just the APM GPS), right?

    While testing this approach I found ASCII & Mavlink will collide and both have issues, You could split out OSD ASCII to USB port 0 with 6 extra header pins at 90° for access to signals, I use port 3 for OSD and USB port 0 for Mavlink to xbee and set all baud rates to 57600, You can increase USB port to 115200 for bench testing. But it's not necessary. I just unplug Xbee (and battery) and plug in USB cable for bench test, with No changes to Configor Code. I will add Remzibi and Ublox with 3D/DGPS & DOP enabled

    Maybe it's time to add native support for MAVLink in the Remzibi's firmware

    It looks like this approach is merging Mavlink binary with Remzibi ASCII on the port 3 serial interface. It sounds like it is working in general, but you may see some OSD display corruption if Remzibi starts seeing stuff it likes in the Mavlink binary.

    That hosting site is a nightmare; it took me five tries to get past the capcha. I've placed it in the APM download section here. 

     

    In the future, can you use zip instead of rar? Most Windows users don't have a rar unpacker built-in.
