I was previously working with 1.0.82, and all was fine. Downloaded 1.0.89 and put it on two machines. A WinXP desktop, and Win7 netbook. Neither one connects to the APM anymore in either terminal or GUI mode in APMP. They just time out, ask if the switch is in the right position, etc. Actually, the CLI will sometimes sort of connect, but I just get gobbledy gook (lots of question marks) showing up and it's unresponsive to input.
I put 1.0.82 back on, and everything is fine. Is this a known issue?

I have another problem with 1.0.89 : I can't type anything in the Terminal.
It connects to APM OK, but whenever I hit a key a popup appears saying "You are missing some DLL's. Please extract the zip file somewhere. OR Use the update feature from the menu"
I'm using ArduCopter 2.0.49Beta (uploaded thru MissionPlanner), on a 1280 board. When entering the Terminal, it says :
Opened com port
Init ArduCopter V2.0.49 Beta
Free RAM: 18221249
FW Version 111
--------------------------------------
CLI:
ArduCopter V2.0.49 Beta]
Clicking on the "Show Settings" button works, idem for "Tests" - my only problem is I can't type anything.
I was using MP 1.0.76 before (with AC 2.0.48), and didn't have that problem. I tried to launch MP 1.0.76, same problem.
Any hints on what I could try ? Did I mess something in my WinXP ?
Thanks!
Everything's working on our machines. When did you download the new version? (We had a bug for a few hours a week ago, that was quickly fixed). In general, you should use the in-app upgrade process rather than downloading new zip files. Please do that and try again.
