Hey All- I Just wanted to pass on my judgements on the $15 HK grey and red 550mm plywood quadrotor airframe. I bought one for test and another to hack. Overall its a great frame. Weight is under 200 gms assembled, assembly went easily using a few small tubes of CA to reinforce the joints. All parts are laser cut 3mm plywood and very precise. Frame is very light and rigid- no lateral, or tangential flex- just a little torsional twist flex in the motor attachment arms. There are no instructions, but I like that because you can't do it wrong. I used my frame 'upside-down' according to the pics on the website- with the curved center supports down. I strongly dislike the landing gear and so I decided not to use- looks fragile with no shock absorption. Nice design, good use of mat'ls. It is very easy to mount all of our various goo-gahs (esc's in arms, motor mounts pre-drilled, lots of room for camera mount, battery, electronics...) Great deal, fun to assemble, and looks really cool too! (net connection too slow for pics- sorry)
