2 wheeler - self stabilising robot

Hi Guys ,

I'm in the process of building a robot with similar mechanical characteristics as this robot here

Currently I don't have a Pixhawk installed on board but I do plan too in the very near future.  -(Just standard RC gear installed ) . I'm controlling it via skid steering.

What we currently see is that the robot does rock back and forth when it comes to a stop. At low speeds the rocking is slight , at higher speeds the rocking is more pronounced.

Would a pixhawk with something like a segway firmware onboard fix this rocking motion ?

How do I go about installing a segway based firmware (as oppose to the standard Akerman steering / Skid steering mode in APM rover )

Is there such a thing ? If so how easy is it to install ?

Esa
