2nd opinion needed

Hi guys,

I've been testing the airframe post compassmot and it's flying well - managed quite well in loiter in a moderately windy day here. Definitely twitchy, but held it's position well - and after a one hour warm up on USB, the baro was holding it's height too.

Now I'm ready to move ont stage two - Longer FPV flights and fixing the gimbal problems (more on that later).

But before I do, I need to make sure it's actually running as well it feels. Logs and vibe and motor graphs attached; can anyone see anything thats got alarm bells ringing? I've glanced through most of it, and I think it's ok, but there are more experienced guys here who might spot something!

  • Other points of note:

    - the 10,900mAh is new, so only 17mins flight time (landing with 3.7+ on the cells). I'm expecting better after a few cycles and going to 3.5v as the landing voltage.

    - The new quadframe gimbal needs work. A lot of work. tons of vibes, jitters and general bad behaviour. As usual, it all worked fine on the bench...What might be significant is I'm feeding roll and pitch data to the alexmos from the APM; I wanted to preserve CH8 through the APM, in case I need to do some tuning later. I use CH8 for the manual pitch.

    A sample of this woe:

    - My video (fatshark 5.8 @ 250mW + bluebeam mushroom) range is pretty poor. I get 300m before breakup. However, quality is poor before then - but let it level, and the quality comes back. Strange.
