3D Air module Red LED on solid

The 3D radios have worked very well for 6 weeks and after a little crash the air module has the red LED on solid and no green LED.  I've tried to connect to 3D config and I get "failed to enter command mode".  The ground module connects and I can read the settings.

Is there a way to breath new life into dead 3D air module?

I'm using the 3D radios on a APM 2 octo and a Autoquad octo at 115k baud. I really miss having them. I ordered a new set yesterday but I could use both sets.

Solid red LED means the radio is waiting to receive a firmware. If that happens when you first power it on, then the most likely cause is a short between ground and the CTS pin. When CTS is connected to ground it goes into firmware update mode on power on.

I'd look carefully at the radio and see if there is any muck from the crash causing a short.
