3DR Arducopter kit and lipo battery problem

Hello

I tried my new Arducopter (quadcopter RTF assembled by 3DR) with a Turnigy 3S 2450mAh lipo battery (30-40C discharge and XT60 connectors).

But it last only 3minutes. When I charge it, my charger says it remains about 9.3V and I charge it in about 15minutes till 11.1V (I use 1.2A, so 0.5C).

Is it normal? where am I wrong?

    @Thomas,

    Your 3S battery is kind of small for a multicopter. You should be using a LiPo of around 3000 - 4000mahr if you want to stay in the air for any length of time. Also, you should be charging your LiPo at its rated size which would be around 2.4 amp.
