Hello All,
This is a very strange problem that is occurring.
When I have my Mini-OSD connected to my APM, the Mavlink Heartbeat is pulsing, the 12V passthrough is working and powering the 3DR camera... But for whatever reason there is no video.
I am transmitting over 3DR Video/OSD Kit and strangely enough I know the Transmission works between Rx and Tx for when I remove the Video In/Out lines from the OSD and connect directly, I get Video. But when I connect the Video In/Out to the OSD there is no video being transmitted. Its almost as if there is a break between the OSD IN/OUT Pins.
Does anyone know if there is something I can test on the OSD to see if its all operational. I have a second OSD as well and that doesn't work either. They are both Version 1.1, they are both running MiniOSD_22.hex and I used ArduCAM OSD Config 2.1.2.0 Tool.

Also, I have tried NTSC knowing that is what I need but I have also tried PAL. No luck.

At this point... I am not seeing a strong Heartbeat signal, I am not sure what that means as one of the OSD's has a faint color pulsing.. the other, nothing.
I have just ordered a new OSD from Dany at CanadaDrones and will see if I just have a bad OSD.

Well, happy to say that when I replaced the OSD with a new one.. this time its a JDrones MiniOSD v1.2.1, I connect it the same way I have the other two.... and it works.
I don't know what is wrong with the other 2 OSD's. Perhaps the Boot got corrupted as the minute I plug in this OSD with HeartBeat, I still see the OSD Program waiting for Heartbeat. I don't see that on the other ones.
If there is a way to put the Boot Section back on the OSD then perhaps I can fix them?
Also, I am afraid to update the JDrones working OSD with the latest firmwares as I don't know if that will cause any problems? Can I revert back if something should happen Hex wise? You would think so?
I have the exact same setup here.. ground is connected.
The OSD was flashed with latest Mini-OSD build and then the Mini-OSD_Extra build.. both don't work.
When camera not connected there is nothing being transmitted to the screen, not text, no booting of the OSD?
In fact, I am wondering how you can check if it is booting?
Is there a way to check?
