Hi All,
Having a few issues getting a 3DR radio module to initialise correctly. It worked great about six months ago, but has been in storage since.
Decided to get the kit out to have a play with the quad during the festive season, however there is an issue with the ground radio, it doesn't appear to be initialising correctly and isn't connecting to APM software.
At first I thought it might just need re-setting so tired:
Load settings - tries command sets and results in error message 'failed to enter command mode'
Upload firmware- results in error message 'Failed to identify radio'
All the time I have a solid green led with a flashing red led, this in theory shows the radio is connected (to what?) and transmitting data.
This led me to the idea that it was probably bricked so tried:
Shorting the gnd and cts pins to force boot loader mode again error message 'Failed to identify radio'
Shorting the pins on start up results in solid red light as it should do , but no
All the time I have a solid green led with a flashing red led, this in theory shows the radio is connected (to what?) and transmitting data.
I've had a look in my computer settings and for this radio the device manager keeps defaulting to 9600 baude and won't stay at 57600.
Does anyone know of any other methods to get this working or any easy fixes or is it a case of lobbing in the bin and getting another ground radio?
The ftdi cable and ardu pilot are working correctly since the air radio in direct connection to the laptop with an FTDI cables work correctly.

Hi Ross,
I have the same problem. Have you fixed the problem? Does your ground radio succesfully work and connect to pc now?
Pls show photos of your config.
If you have solid green LEDs while both modems are on and flashing green LED on one modem while other is powered off - radio link works and you have problem with connection between PC and ground module.
