3DR Radio Range, TX Power increase.

Hi Guys, Have been looking at best settings to give my default 3dr Radios a bit of a range boost. I have a pair of 433MHz and 915MHz radios with the default settings, and TX Power set to 11. My question is, will increaing the TX power increase range or performance in any way ?

Have also been using python a script to log lat, long and alt out to a txt file, every 2 seconds. If I decrease the Air Speed to 48 or 32 dBm how would that reflect the current update rate data of the script ?

Just trying to get my head around this concept.
