What all additional things will I have to do if using a 6 cell battery. I'm assuming I cannot use APM to monitor voltage. It is also higher voltage than AMP can handle. I'm sure the reciever would put out less though? I'm just a little confused about which battery to get i guess. I wanted to do two mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA">3s 4000 40c ran in series. I could always use one of these 11 volt lipos and power APM separately I guess.

Im running a 6s 5000mah battery and it works fine, i dont monitor battery voltage though. I have an opto controller and using a castle ubec on the APM.
Yes, you can use a 6-cell, as long as it's going through an ESC, not directly into the board. Also you can monitor the overall voltage, but not each individual cell (APM can only monitor up to 4 individual cells). Check the manual for the correct voltage divider resistor choice.
