Hello folks,I have some queries about these drones :1) Why do they have these unusual tail configurations ( as compared to model planes ).2) Is there any advantage to using the pusher prop. configuration ?ThomasAny guys from Mumbai,India around here ?

The early Predators (that's what's at the top of the page) had the tail surfaces pointing down; the later ones are pointing up like the model in the photograph in the text box. I believe that the early ones were designed to drop upside down under a parachute it they got in trouble (to protect the sensitive sensor packages at the bottom) and so the control surfaces were also put on the bottom to protect them.

Can anybody remember if I've got that right?
Actually by strange tail configuration I meant the inverted tail kind we see on the illustration on top of this page.I do not know if its just a "sexed up" thing and not a practical flier.
