Very interesting, The only problem with this for UAV use is that it's one lat/lon per text message. To do real-time tracking, we need to get GPS datapoints at 1Hz., At $0.10 per text message, that's $6 a minute! You can sample the GPS less often (once a minute, say) but then it's only good for finding lost UAVs, not real-time tracking.
