Has any one tried the IATech, Micro SmartIMU

http://www.iat-llc.com/It seems like quite a package.Every thing as far as navagation sensors go, all in one. (Less true airspeed and Alt.)Cut from their web site....Orientation Euler AnglesNMEA GPS MessagesExternal GPS AntennaRS232 InterfaceOverall Dimensions: 2"x2"x0.8" (50mm x 50mm x 20mm)I did not see a wght. listed. There is no spec sheet for the small one but its big brother the "Standard SmartIMU" claims."The programmable output formatprovides flexible integration into UAV,UGV, and other unmanned systems."Seems like it would be a fairly simple endever to interface with most any autopilot system with serial interface.has anyone tried one or gotten more info?

I don't know that one, but it looks expensive (designed for military-spec hardware). I suspect you'd get better results, cheaper, with a Sparkfun IMU.
  • Some times it about price,
Diy is about achieving the same but on a shoe string.
Still would like to see this items specs in the sea.
One can use a car nav sytem like ent or simlar it has all you need just need to link to the servos.
and you need to rewrite the nav progam(Windows CE).

The prices in the USA about $200
