Hello everyone,Great site, I have been lurking for a while now, and It’s excellent to see the progress of some of your endeavors.A friend and I are beginning our first UAV project. We are just getting started with the hardware, and expect a 2 lb (high estimate) paylod for sensor equipment, cpu and power supply.I am by no means an expert on RC Models, and I was hoping someone here could suggest an inexpensive ARTF, or RTF electric plane that can carry this weight with stability.Eventually we will convert to Gas, but I plan on crashing the first 3 planes so I’d like to keep them cheap ;)Any advise would be greatly welcomed,Kindest,Dave

Usually I recommend an EasyStar for beginners, but it won't carry your weight and it doesn't have ailerons so it's a bit limited as a UAV. If you don't have any of the RC equipment already, a reasonable starter set in a good UAV platform is the NextStar. Lots of equipment room, plenty of weight-carrying capacity and a slow and stable flier.
If you do already have RC gear, the Telemaster is tried and true.
