A barking dog blimp!!!!

I'm totally new and unexperienced here, so forgive me for acting like a fool.Has anyone ever heard of UAVs acting like barking dogs to manage livestock from the air?I can see highly manoeuvrable RC blimps (eh, http://www.hyperblimp.com ) gently pushing and pulling cattle, goats, sheep, in the right direction, and guiding them to where there's some fresh grass. This would allow for and reinvigorate a "free range" livestock industry - something that's becoming a trend (at least in Europe, perhaps in the U.S.?). No more cattle pushed into tiny concrete spaces, but allowed to graze the great wilderness -- think of the savannahs in Africa, the pampas in Argentina... The great outdoors made available, and controlled by a barking dog blimp!!!I'm sure this has been tried. But in any case, does anyone know of anyone making a business out of this? After all, all you need is a blimp with a long range, a bit of a live camera, and a tape-recording of a barking dog!!!!I'm going to make millions replacing cattle herders and gauchos!! All from my lazy chair!

Lorenzo, just hope theres no wind for the blimp. It wont be much cop at scaring off predators either.

Kelly your on the money with your thoughts, we are playing with just such a thing for South Africa.
  • Lorenzo,
I manage a small cattle farm in rural Georgia. I've often wanted a robotic vehicle (ground or air) to surveil the property for various reasons:
    * Are the cows in the right pasture? Is there an open gate or downed fence?
    * Why are some cows mooing so loud? Is a calf separated from its mother? Predator or intruder present?
    * During heavy rains, is the creek too high for the cows to cross it?

So, I think there are many applications for autonomous or remote control vehicles in agriculture.
