It's similar to protection covers of many mini indoor quadcopters but also provide protection from hitting the ceiling, and appears to be stronger than most. My F180 and F182 hit the ceiling many times when flying indoor. It would be nice to have something like this. It may reduce flight time a bit though.
Larger sizes are available, but not sure if one of those fit a DJI Phantom.
