I have started to add functions to MinimOsd code.
At first i did it for myself only. Added many functions i thought i need. Then opened this thread.
after a while, Pedro and later Miguel came, and things started to happen fast. :D
They have optimised the code and added even more things to it.
They have worked hard on CT, and it became a great tool!
Thank you Bough! :)

We built in a new way of setting video standards. Now OSD does not guessing anymore :). You can set it fixed from CT. It is in "Video Mode" menu.
Here is how it looks: (This video is a bit outdated, sorry. I will make a new one soon.)
The MinimOSD-Extra project is here: Link
This project is the developing version of the official Arducam OSD located here: Link
The latest stable version is: 2.2
The latest version can be downloaded from here: MinimOSD-Extra R800
Username: MinimOSD_Extra
Password: Top_Secret
CT is included. (The FW for Plane, Copter, Character upload and the character file is in the "FW & Char" directory inside CT directory)
We are sharing it to see videos you make using it! :)

Hi,
There is a new copter version MinimOSD-Extra_Copter_Pre-release_2.4_r789
Changes:
Only allow showing flight summary if copter disarmed and total travelled distance greater than 50 meters.

Awesome Miguel! Just loaded it, much happier.
Dum question, can you switch panels (between Panel 1, 2 and off) upon first power up? i.e. before the copter can be armed (no gps fix etc).
I swear I could do this before to test panels but now I can't switch panels right away.
Thanks
Tim
Just noticed that I was unable to switch until I go GPS sats...0 sats -> unable to switch, >1 sats -> switch no problem. Is this normal behavior?
Hi Tim and Jim,
If you have "Warnings Auto Panel Switch" set to Panel 1 or Panel 2, then you shouldn't be able to switch panels as long as you have any kind of warning to be shown on osd. After that you should be able to switch panels even if copter is disarmed.
Miguel
I can switch modes before arming the copter. I use ch.7 with a 3 pos. switch and disabled the auto revert to page 1 or 2 feature.
For me it works fine but I didn't test with a normal flight, only at the ground.
Oh, I though that it was just me...I also upgraded to the new firmware and was unable to switch panels immediately...

CT Tool for MinimOSD Extra 2.4.0.1 Pre Release r788.zip
Hi,
Am having some trouble getting vertical speed to report as expected. I am using FW version r785, CT Tool r787 and OSD2_4.
The issue is that vs displays 0 m/s when copter on bench - good :)
10 m/s when moving copter up from table at about 1 m/s - bad :(
20 m/s when moving at 2 m/s
-10 m/s when moving down at -1 m/s
My system always displays this extra zero ??
Any ideas? Do others see this?
Thanks
Hi Bruce,
OSD is showing m/m not m/s
We're getting the data from mavlink and then convert it to "per minute".
In m/s you have to have the copter falling at 1 m/s to see a change in osd
In m/m we see a more sensitive panel (1 m/m -> 1/60 m/s)
I guess that APM isn't reporting with all that resolution but at least it seems to report in 0.17 m/s (10m/m) increments.
Nonetheless I'll have a look in the tlogs.
Miguel
