I've been using the motor mount lights on the pins next to the motor outputs but want to take things to the next level :) and bought 1 meter of red, blue, white and green of this:

I put green on right, red on left, white on front and blue on back using 9 LEDs cut from this strip of 60. So bright you can see it in day light better than painting the arms.
I then added 9 more on each side of each arm and in video at night you would swear it was off world technology :P
Anyway I would like to use these same outputs I'm using for the motor mount lights so that I get the flashing on the back LED which will be blue. Or maybe I will make it the front. Not sure what is more standard. Green on right and Red on left definitely help with orientation day and night!
So can these outputs hold this amount of mA. I think these 4 output pins have built in resistors so how will that effect things. Now I'm just powering off the balance port of the 3S battery. Doesn't affect flight time much at all. I don't have the 3 strips of each color wired in series. I have 9 x 3 so each 9 light strip is getting 11.1V.

Thanks Sebastian. I ended up powering them straight from the balance port. Will need to take the quad apart again to make a proper power cable connection directly on the PDB but for now it's working fine. At night with 3 strips of each color so 27 LEDs per arm, it's like a spot light. Only decreases flight time about a minute.
I'm loving my CF 12" props. Flies so much smoother and adds many minutes to my flight time.
