We are currently working on a project that involves using UAVs for wildlife radio tracking. We have been gaining experience flying and working with the Ardupilot System in a glow powered trainer(72'') and are planning on moving up to an Aeroworks Bravata (112'') as the full scale radio system is 5lbs.
So my question is somewhat broad but I would like to know what differences we can expect when it comes to the initial values for PIDs and tuning. Also any advice from others who have worked with the ardupilot and large scale gas planes. Pitfalls to look out for? Other safety features to build in? Interference/vibration issues from the engine? Any of this sort of information would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Sam
