Hello Everyone,

I currently have a client who hired me to do an aerial survey/ Aerial Mapping of a portion of land where they plan to build homes.  They asked me about the accuracy of my outputs and if I use a land points on the ground to get accurate data.

Now I was under the impression that I did not need to do that if I'm flying my Inspire 1 and using the pix4d software.  I want to make sure that I use the proper methods so I can deliver the most accurate map.

Do I need to higher a land surveyor to do this?  I'm starting to realize that maybe just flying a drone using cloud points and the camera GPS is not enough to do an accurate survey.

Do I need to partner up with a land surveyor company who are licensed to do land points to get the most out of my aerial mapping projects?

Can anyone explain this to me or point me to the right place where I can learn more about what I need to do to be successful in this space?

Thank you,
