Aeroquad cyclone frame FPV with UAV capability

Hi, I am a newbie.

I have done some research for the past week and I am really keen to build a Aeroquad FPV with UAV capability to use the Ardupilot sofware..

My question is ; Can I build the quad with the Arduino mega 2560 , Aeroquad sheild 2.0 with all available necessary sensors, a mini HD v.camera for FPV and ArduPilot Mega for UAV to use occasionaly all in the Cyclone frame ?  or have I doubled up on something or even missed out a pcb ?? (to be manualy flown with 8 ch controller)

Any info would be much appriciated.

  • .(Ardupilot mega planner software)  But I'm just a little confused. I want the thing to fly as a UAV and as a manual flown FPV at times. I was'nt sure if I get do both on one machine. I also wanted to incorperate all the sensors to make it a very stable rig.

  • Oh damn .

So if I use the APM 2 purple board with the Ardupilot, what else would I need for my project please ??

I'm afraid not. The ArduCopter software does not run on regular Arduinos. It requires an APM 1 or 2 board.
