I have an APM 2 that crashed and it lost the GPS ant. unit so I bought an external GPS and did the soldering patch on the board for it to work. I use to use my DX8 radio with a AR8000 receiver but am now using the AR6210 receiver and have applied the how to setup the radio receiver for switching the channels on ch5 and set them up and they function on the Configuration Flight Mode tab but when I go to the Flight Data tab I only get Stabilize for most of the switch positions and one that goes to Acro Mode which was set to Acro in the Mode tab. I tried changing to the other modes that I had not selected previously and found that only Alt Hold, OF Loiter and Toy(showed as UNKNOWN) were displayed as being the selected modes.
I'm assuming my board is screwed up for good but if anyone can recommend some options I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your help.

Wow. Let me repeat what I think I read:
Crashed cleaned off the daughterboard GPS, repaired with external GPS (did you leave the daughterboard on?)
Intial use - AR8000, now using AR6210.
TX cal in Mission Planner looks like it is working with Ch5 (mode change).
Monitoring Flight Data screen shows Stabilize or Acro only in response to mode change commands.
Something else regarding selected modes available....
Hmmm. After you replaced the GPS and switched receivers (why receiver? AR8k busted?), and recalibrated TX, etc, did you resend the changes to the APM? It might be a good idea to reload, from scratch, the configuration as set with the new RX installed. Impact trauma and subsequent repair work could have corrupted the code and may require a clean install.
