I'm getting to the last steps of being able to fly. Despite recommendations from a buddy who is a seasoned dronespert (drone expert, I made that up) I didn't get a RTF, I built a drone from the ground up. I'm at the point where I need calibrate my radio on Mission Planner. I thought I wired it right but something is F***ed up. I get no response when I move the dials. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to adjust the radio before trying to calibrate on mission planner. I'm not sure the cords are in the correct positions. I don't know what it is or what the next step is. I've viewed about fifteen different videos and I still dont understand how to set it up or get it working. I included some pictures of my wiring...
I didn't know where to find the servo cables so the best thing i found was to get male to females and cut the wire and solder the two females together.
I've got channel 1 on the arducopter hooked up to channel 1
channel 2 on the arducopter hooked up to channel 2
channel 3 to channel 3
channel 4 to channel 4
channel 5 on the arducopter set up to channel 6 on the receiver.
I'm working with a turnigy 9x on mode 2 and a 2.5 arducopter.
