Distributor

Hello to you all!, This is my first post, I hope that I'm asking in the right section.

A little backgound info on where I'm up to with my build:

I have APM + Oilpan with GPS up and running, all test programs have been run and work great, now looking to add the extra parts to the set up (video link / xbee etc).

I have built an easy star to house all the goodies! Easy star has been test flown today and is great (even if it seems to glide for ever when landing!!)

The Questions:

To date I have found every answer i have needed in these great forum pages, however I dont seem to be able to find the answer to the follwing questions:

Do I need to fit one of the air speed sensors to my current set up? (one like this  http://store.diydrones.com/product_p/br-0004-03.htm )

Is the gps information enough to let the APM work its magic?

Is there an advantage / dis-advantage to fitting one of the air speed sensors, if it is option?

Regards

Martin.

You don't need one. GPS is sufficient for most purposes. Airspeed will just lead to better performance in windy conditions.
