Airborne Software Functional Description

Hi, I am quite new to all this, so I have been trying, (without success), to find a "Fuctional Description" of the airborne ArduPilot(or Paparazzi) Autopilot software, either in the form of a Flow Chart, Data Flow Diagram, even a text based Overview, rather than trying to deuced the big picture from the C source code.Could anybody point me in the right direction?Many thanks.     We're working on one, but don't have it done yet. But if you look at the ArduPilot code on the Arduino IDE the tabs and comments should make it pretty clear.
