@Roy - this looks and behaves like an ultrasonic sensor. Is it really using radar?
It's based upon ultrasonic technology. The interface behaves as a radar system for objects in the surroundings of the drone. Hope this answers your question.
That's cool. Just didn't want people to get confused about the use of the term "radar". With so many sensors in the module are you using a phased array to steer the beam or is it a fixed, wide beam configuration? FYI, I used to run a factory making ultrasonic sensors so I have a little knowledge of the subject.
We've reduced it to two sensors in the latest version (www.airobot.eu/ranger).
